Scripture Verse: "If my people, who are called by
my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their
wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and will
heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14
Mission Statement: The mission of a Household of Prayer is to pray, hear
from God and obey what He tells us to do. By following God's command,
neighborhoods will be changed. Many who need and want help will be brought
to Jesus to receive salvation, healing and training..
What is a HOP?
Households of Prayer are small weekly Christian gatherings of Church members and
neighbors who gather in homes one day a week to pray for God’s blessings upon
our neighborhoods, families and friends, the Church, the nation and the world.
In prayer, we look to our Father for these blessings through his Son and yield
to His power working in and through us to this end.
Church members are encouraged to join a HOP near where they live but are welcome
at any of the weekly gatherings, and may also start a new home group with their
local church's direction and encouragement. Daily individual intercession
is also encouraged.
We begin with prayer, we’re moved to care, and lead to share the love that God
has made known to us in His son Jesus Christ.

Fruitful
Suggestions
Prayer Walking: Take one day per week or month to walk around neighborhood
while asking God's blessings upon it. Pray for personal salvations,
marriage-family relationships, physical and mental healings,
provision-protection-prosperity, community relationships, local town schools,
businesses, and government. Be open to greeting strangers. If
unable to attend a weekly meeting, this is a great way to participate.
Fellowship Events: Open your home to a social fellowship night where local
church members or neighbors can develop personal relationships.
Prayer Requests and Invitations: After laying a foundation or prayer over
time, inquire of neighbors re: prayer needs. If a relationship is built,
personally invite persons to join you in prayer one evening. Where
relationships are not established, place invitations around your neighborhood
inviting prayer requests or participation in group meetings. There are
great pre-made materials available through national ministries, such as, HOPE
(Households of Prayer Everywhere) and Lighthouses of Prayer, etc.
Be a Good
Neighbor
As we pray for our neighbors, God, who hears and answers our prayers, will work
in our hearts and the hearts of our neighbors. Be ready for the
opportunities the Lord provides to witness to His love in both word and deed.
Allow the Lord to work out his good works in you. And remember that He is
good and able!
Give time to allow relationships to develop. When people know you love
them, they’ll be more open to what you have to share, and more likely to share
with you what they need.
Take the time, make the effort, and...
Love your neighbor!
